Bangli- Ganesha University of Education students carry out workshop activities in the Village of Pursuit, Bangli Regency, Bali, Friday (6/11/2020). This activity is one of the work programs that have been designed in the Holistic Village Development and Empowerment Program (PHP2D) for the Manik Tirta Livestock Farmer Group.
PHP2D carries the theme of Increasing Agricultural Productivity Through the Implementation of Integrated Farming Systems. This workshop is to socialize PHP2D activities that have been going on for 4 months in the village of Pengajaran to invited stakeholders. Apart from that, it is also to accommodate input, aspirations, problems, and hopes of the Manik Tirta Livestock Farming Group so that there will be a synergy between the Government of Bangli Regency and Ganesha University of Education in developing the agricultural, livestock, and fisheries sectors as the leading sectors of Pengjaran Village.
The event began with the delivery of commitments from each stakeholder to support the activities and work programs of the Manik Tirta Livestock Farmers Group in the future. Then proceed with the playback of the video documentation of the PHP2D activities that have been implemented. These activities include making bio floc ponds for tilapia cultivation, making chayote planting media, training in making organic fertilizers, making hydroponic installations, making and repairing biogas installations, making guidebooks for Integrated Agricultural Systems, socializing Integrated Agricultural Systems to the Manik Tirta Livestock Farmer Group, assisting in processing agricultural waste, livestock, and fisheries to support Integrated Agricultural System activities and assisting in the sale of products from Integrated Agricultural Systems.
I Made Suweca a representative from the Department of Agriculture, Food Security, and Fisheries District. Bangli said “This activity is very good because besides helping the Manik Tita livestock farmer group, this activity also helps the Agriculture, Food Security, and Fisheries Service in socializing and developing agriculture and animal husbandry in the village. Because the funds that go into the service are also still not enough to be channeled “.
I Wayan Arta the Head of Pengjaran Village said “Thank you to Undiksha and also the students who have developed this activity in Pangajaran Village, trained and provided material to the Manik Tirta livestock farmer group. So that we can add to our knowledge about this integrated agriculture.
I Wayan Bona the Head of the Kintamani Sub-district said “With this activity it is hoped that it can advance Pangajaran Village, and also that this program can be sustainable and not stop here. And it is hoped that it will create new businesses, such as tilapia fish farming using bio floc which can be developed in the market.”
Dr. I Nyoman Tika, M.Si as the representative of the Ganesha University of Education and at the same time the head of the Undiksha Innovation Excellence Center emphasized “This activity is indeed very much supported by Undiksha because the Chancellor himself has Undiksha’s mission to be thriving in the village, apart from that this activity is very useful for our students, where in this activity students can train students’ soft skills by dealing directly with the community or going directly to the field. It is hoped that this activity can establish good relations between Undiksha and Pangjaran Village so that this kinship relationship does not break up here.
The program was then followed by a visit to the PHP2D location in the cattle barn belonging to the Manik Tirta Livestock Farmers Group. At the PHP2D location, Dr. I Nyoman Tika, M.Si as the head of the Undiksha Innovation Excellence Center and I Made Suweca as representatives of the District Agriculture, Food Security and Fisheries Office.
