Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) through the Institute for Quality Assurance and Learning Development is again holding a Sharing Doctorate, Tuesday (30/5/2023). This year’s activity is to disseminate new ideas from new doctors.
The seminar which took place in a hybrid manner presented three speakers from Undiksha, namely Dr. Kadek Yogi Parta Lesmana, S.Pd., M.Pd., lecturer in the Physical Education, Health and Recreation Study Program, Faculty of Sports and Health; Dr. I Made Pradana Adiputra, S.E., S.H., M.Sc., lecturer in the Accounting Study Program, Faculty of Economics, and Dr. Ni Ketut Sari Adnyani, S.Pd., M.Hum., lecturer in Law at the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences. This seminar raised the theme “Examining Character Values across Fields of Science to Welcoming the Golden Generation of the Industrial Age 4.0”.
Chief Executive, Dr. Luh Putu Sri Adnyani, S.S., M.Hum said that the Sharing Doctorate was one of Undiksha’s efforts to strengthen the academic climate by introducing the latest scientific developments occupied by each doctor in Undiksha. “The purpose of this activity is to disseminate new ideas from doctors at Undiksha,” he explained.
Character values are the points in the material discussed in this seminar. He explained, in the industrial era 4.0 and technological advances, character values must be maintained to be able to face competition. “It is this advancement in information technology that makes the character an aspect that we must pay attention to. Because without good character, information technology will not be a blessing, but on the contrary, it can be a problem for its users,” he said.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Academic and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I., who opened the event, said that the Sharing Doctorate is a space for new doctors to share ideas with the general public. Through this activity, it is also hoped that they will be more motivated to continue to develop their own potential and knowledge. “I hope that these new doctors can continue to contribute to scientific development and be able to disseminate it,” he hoped.
On the other hand, Rasben Dantes also mentioned that the presence of this new doctorate also has a very important role in the future development of the university. Especially in the era of the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy, the aspect of Human Resources became the most important thing critical.
