Badung- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) not only launched an integrity zone towards a Corruption Free Area (WBK) and a Clean Serving Free Area (WBBM) but also implemented New and Renewable Energy (EBT). This has the support of the Bali Regional Main Unit (UID) PLN. The declaration was held in Kuta, Badung Regency, Tuesday (5/7/2022).
The launching event was attended directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., accompanied by Deputy Chancellors and General Manager of PLN UID Bali, I Wayan Udayana, and his staff. At this event, the Deputy Chancellor for General Administration, Planning, Finance, and Resources, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, M.Pd., conveyed Undiksha’s movement to apply renewable energy as a form of support for government policies in order to preserve the environment. “Because we feel we are part of one of the pillars of the nation’s development, with the permission of the Chancellor, we in the ranks of managers in the field of infrastructure and services thought why don’t we start now to help and implement government policies to use new, renewable energy, without adding to the burden the environment,” he said.
On the basis of this thought, his party submitted an application for Cooperation with PLN Singaraja. As a first step, renewable energy will be applied in the Rectorate Building and Faculty of Medicine.
This declaration was also accompanied by the submission of a certificate by PLN. According to Lasmawan, the certificate was a form of appreciation for Undiksha’s progress in providing good for the nation. “This is of course a step forward and an extraordinary breakthrough that we are doing with the intention that we may be on the outskirts of North Bali, we may have income that is not that big, but the meaning and the impact of kindness to this nation does not have to be small. But if it can be more meaningful than what we have now, “he said.
PLN Bali UID General Manager, I Wayan Udayana, gave his appreciation to Undiksha. This movement is expected to be an example for others. “We really appreciate the existence of educational institutions that use new, renewable energy,” he said. Post-planning is expected to be continued with the implementation of Cooperation. The form of support that will be provided by PLN is in the form of electric vehicle infrastructure and others. (hms)
