Singaraja- Dharma Wanita Association (DWP) of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) also provided support in the Prevention and Handling of Sexual Violence (PPKS). This was socialized on Friday (16/6/2023) in collaboration with the Undiksha PPKS Task Force.
The socialization which took place in the Ganesha Room II Undiksha Rectorate Building was attended by all Undiksha DWP officials and members. Head of DWP Undiksha Mrs. I Dewa Ayu Muter Suastini Lasmawan conveyed that the implementation of this activity was a follow-up to a directive from the Head of the central DWP so that all DWP participate in efforts to prevent and deal with sexual violence. Therefore, this socialization was carried out as the first step to provide understanding to all DWP Undiksha members and then it can be implemented through a movement called DWP Sahabat Kampus.
The implementation of this socialization is also related to the duties of the DWP Undiksha. First, education, namely DWP Undiksha is able to socialize about the dangers and handling of sexual violence. Second, DWP is a partner and can be a place of sharing for people who are indicated to be victims of sexual violence. Third, related to services, namely providing basic counseling services for people who are already survivors of sexual violence. Fourth is control, for the prevention and handling of sexual violence.
This socialization presented two speakers from Undiksha, namely Nice Maylani Asril, S.Psi, M.Psi, Ph.D., and Dewi Arum Widhiyanti Metra Putri, S.Psi., M.A. After the socialization, DWP Undiksha also plans to collaborate with the Undiksha PPKS Task Force to implement a number of programs related to efforts to prevent sexual violence, especially in the campus environment.
