Singaraja- The Bali Arts Festival (PKB) in 2021 is planned to take place from June to July virtually. In this annual event, Ganesha University of Education participated, represented by the Regional Arts Student Activity Unit (UKM-Kesda). In order to present the best work, coaching was carried out by the Bali Provincial Culture Office, Saturday (8/5/2021).
At this PKB, Undiksha will perform Gong Kebyar and two creative dances. Regional Arts and Culture Analyst of the Bali Province Culture Office, I Gede Arum Gunawan expressed his appreciation for Undiksha’s participation. This is seen as a form of support for the preservation of Balinese culture. In this guidance, he considered that the preparations made by UKM Kesda Undiksha had been very good. However, it is hoped that preparations can continue to be strengthened by continuing to implement the Covid-19 prevention protocol. “Because we are still in a pandemic like this. We hope that you will always be given health, and success so that later you can perform optimally at the Taman Budaya Art Center Denpasar,” he explained.
Delivered further, this time PKB took place virtually because it was still in the Covid-19 pandemic situation. The public can only watch various performances through television networks. “So we limit the number of spectators to reduce the crowd. However, we will guarantee that the quality of organizing this year’s PKB will remain the same as in previous years,” he said.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., also expressed his appreciation for the trust from the Bali Provincial Culture Office in providing opportunities for UKM Kesda Undiksha to participate in displaying works of art. “We really appreciate this and we support it for everything, from the budget and facilities,” he said. As an effort to anticipate the spread of Covid-19, Undiksha has also vaccinated all participants who will appear. “We have prepared this, we asked the district for the vaccine and it was prepared on May 11, 2021,” he added.
The supervisor of the Gong Kebyar UKM Kesda Undiksha Ambassador, Nyoman Sugita Rupiana stated that he would continue to maximize coaching to get more perfect results so that later he would be able to provide the best for Undiksha. It is hoped that Undiksha’s participation in this event will receive support from all academics. Likewise for participation in events or other competitions. (hms)
