Singaraja- Undiksha’s Hindu Dharma Brahma Vidya Student Family (KMHD-YBV) held Widya Sabha, 14 and 15 September 2019. This activity aimed at all new Undiksha students who are Hindus is one part of character building.
This annual event was attended by 2,107 students from various study programs with the theme “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam” which means “We are all Family”. On September 14, the opening ceremony was held, Jaya Jaya Jaya as well as praying together. Advisory Coordinator, Prof. Dr. I Made Sutama, M.Pd., hoped that new students would be able to become excellent students and have Hindu characteristics based on the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita in the 4.0 revolution era.
Meanwhile, on September 15 2019 a dharma discourse was held with the theme “The Role of the Young Hindu Generation in Facing the Industrial Revolution 4.0” with keynote speakers the President of World Hindu Parisad Dr. Made Mangku Pastika, M.M. He conveyed that students must continue to use the principles of Hindu teachings in leading and communicating that prioritize morality and he really hopes that the material presented by new students can implement it in everyday life.
In addition, there was also a guest speaker, Rasa Acharya Prabhuraja Darmayasa, who presented material with the theme “Cultivating Millennial-style Bhagavad Gita”. He explained the Bhagavad Gita which has enormous benefits for Hindus. It’s just that there are still many who do not understand. “We hope Hindu Undiksha students can understand this,” he said.
At the end of the event, there was an introduction from KMHD which included KMHD Teruni Teruni, administrators, and work programs. At the same time, I Wayan Santika as Chair of KMHD YBV Undiksha hoped that after joining this organization, students could participate in every activity so that KMHD as a Hindu organization could really become a vessel in maintaining and preserving Hindu art and culture. , including strengthening the family.
