Singaraja- The Ganesha University of Education Alumni Association (IKA-Undiksha) held a consolidation, Saturday (2/4/2022). The event which took place online was attended by central, regional, faculties, and study program administrators. This momentum is also at the same time to strengthen synergy and equalize the spirit to be able to contribute more to institutions and society.
This event was opened by Deputy Chair II of IKA Undiksha, Dr. I Made Tegeh, M.Pd. He said alumni have a very important role in the institution, one of which is in implementing the accreditation of study programs and universities. “Because for each accreditation, it is certain what IKA’s activities are like. The role of study programs, for faculties, postgraduates, universities, is usually an important assessment,” he said.
Through this consolidation, continued Tegeh, it is hoped that in the future IKA Undiksha can be supported by strong synergy, both between management and between members. Likewise, the contribution to institutions and society can be even greater through the implementation of the Tri Dharma program in Higher Education and programs that are in line with Undiksha’s vision which is framed by the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana. “IKA has been formed for a long time. In the future, we need to synergize and build harmony. As echoed by the leadership of Undiksha,” he said.
Meanwhile, Vice Chair I of IKA Undiksha, Prof. Dr.I Gede Astra Wesnawa, M.Sc., who was the initiator of the discussion, said that Undiksha alumni always wanted to have a positive image. This image can be realized from their roles and activities that provide benefits to society, being able to improve the quality and performance of their work, being able to prove their abilities, dedication, loyalty, and commitment to the duties and responsibilities assigned to them in society, and so on.
In line with Tegeh, according to Astra Wesnawa, in relation to Undiksha’s performance, IKA needs to continue to improve the role of the alma mater in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely education and teaching, research, and community service. Besides that, it also increases the dedication of Undiksha alumni to the development of the nation and state. This is in line with his determination, which is to be able to provide inspiration, motivation, and high fighting spirit and to be able to achieve achievements. “This is the aim and determination of IKA Undiksha.
