Diversity is a serious concern for the Student Association of the Department of Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKN) Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS) Ganesha Education University (Undiksha). This was packaged through the Civic’s Generation Week Arts Event (MGS) at the Undiksha Auditorium, on Sunday (11/11/2018).
The event to welcome the 55th Anniversary of the PPKN Department was filled with various kinds of performances. There was music, dance, and various types of arts performed by students from various regions. This event is a unifier of Indonesian culture. “Department students are not only from Bali. But also other regions, such as NTT, NTB, Java, and Kalimantan. We are diverse and multicultural. “Through this activity, we foster diversity,” said the Chairman of HMJ, I Putu Indra Artha Antara.
As a department with not too many students, diversity and solidarity have been fostered from the start. This is expected to continue. Likewise with the Undiksha academic community. “We hope that solidarity will not only appear during this event. But it can continue,” he said.
Chair of the Committee, Ni Putu Ayu Diah Lestari, explained that this annual event also included debate competitions at the SMA/SMK level throughout Bali and quiz competitions at the junior high school level throughout Buleleng Regency. Apart from that, there was also a speech competition for the first time. Participants are at the elementary/MI level throughout Buleleng Regency. “For speeches, we plan to continue to have them for next year. Now it’s just the first. “There are eleven participants,” he explained. (hms)
