Singaraja- Registration for rector candidates of Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) for 2023-2027 has been closed Friday (14/10/2022) at 16:30 Wita. Since it was opened on September 26, 2022, there were four registrants. This number has met the requirements in the Senate Regulation so that the committee does not extend registration.
The applicants are Prof. Dr. I Wayan Lasmawan, Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suparta, Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, and Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa. The registration was initiated by Prof. Lasmawan on October 10, 2022. While the other three on October 14, 2022.
Head of the Undiksha Rector Election Committee, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, explained that following Senate Regulation Number 2 of 2022 concerning the Election of the Rector and Senate Regulation Number 3 of 2022 concerning Technical Guidelines for the Election of the Rector, the number of registrants had met the requirements to be able to continue to the next stage. This means that the committee is no longer extending registration. “Those from outside did not enter (register, ed), so only four people registered. According to the rules following the Senate Regulation, they have met the requirements, so there is no extension,” he explained.
Although there are already four applicants as rector candidates, Prof. Arnyana emphasized that it is not final. The committee will conduct administrative verification, and the results will be reported to the Undiksha Senate on October 24, 2022. “Later who has the right to announce who is the candidate, the Senate. I as a committee only said that there were already four people who registered. We only convey that. Whether later accepted or how the results, it is the Senate who will announce. It is temporary that there are already applicants,” he said.
The determination of the rector candidates by the Undiksha Senate is scheduled between October 31 and November 4, 2022. “So between these dates it will be fixed. Now only four people have registered,” added Prof. Arnyana. (hms)
