Singaraja-Faculty Mathematics and Natural Sciences (FMIPA) Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) held a national seminar (Semnas), Saturday (12/11/2022). The seminar, which is on the agenda this year, serves as a space for disseminating academic research results and further evokes enthusiasm for research.
The seminar, which took place in a hybrid, carried the theme “Recognition of Research Results in Mathematics, Science and MIPA Learning”. Three keynote speakers were invited, namely Prof. Darmawan, Ph.D., Mathematics professor from Universitas Udayana, Dr. Mohamad Rafi from IPB University, and Dr. I Wayan Sukrawarpala from Undiksha. Besides that, there were four invitation speakers from FMIPA Undiksha, namely Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Jelantik Swastha, Dr. I Nyoman Suwindra, Dr. Nyoman Sukajaya, and Dr.rer.nat. I Gusti Ngurah Agung Suryaputra. “This activity also presents accompanying speakers from various institutions,” said the committee chairman, Dr. Gede Agus Beni Widana, S.Sc., M.Sc.
This seminar is also a space to publish the results of his research, both basic and applied science studies, as well as studies in Mathematics and Natural Sciences education. “We hope that through this, research results can be published more and can provide benefits for the development of science in the future,” he added.
The Head of the Institute for Research and Community Service, Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, opened this event. He, who represented the Rector of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, hopes that this seminar can increase the enthusiasm of the lecturers to do research. “From research activities to publications, it will contribute to the performance of lecturers to universities,” he said. He added that the research results presented at this seminar need to be further disseminated to more audiences, one of which is through relevant journals. (hms)
