Singaraja- The peak of awarding the 2021 Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha Outstanding Student Selection has taken place Thursday (3/25/2021). In this event, the winner was Ni Made Sindy Warasniasih from the undergraduate level and Putu Bimantara from the Diploma III level. The two students from the Faculty of Economics will represent Undiksha in regional and national competitions.
Sindy admitted she is truly grateful for this achievement. She said this is also from the prayers and support of his family, faculties, departments, study programmes, and friends. “The feeling of happiness also comes when you feel the struggles that have been carried out before giving results that exceed expectations,” she said.
In this competition, she is confident she can enter the top three, but he doesn’t expect to get first place because the competition between participants is very tight. “All the participants are great people who excel,” he said. This eighth-semester student admitted that he got a lot of things in this Pilmapres event. The selection process was very challenging and faced dozens of great and extraordinary people. The unique ideas of each participant also provide positive pressure that can spur their enthusiasm to become better. In addition, the quarantine process is considered to be very interesting because they have the opportunity to explore their potential. “Confidence is also starting to be honed because all the existing processes are carried out individually, not in group tests,” she said.
The results obtained through this competition will be evaluated. In addition, it also prepares itself for various matters relating to the regional and national Pilmapres. “Preparations are in the form of proofreading the content of written works as well as training ourselves to speak English. Also preparation of the CBT test, which is a determinant to enter the next level,” she concluded.
Meanwhile, Bimantara admitted that at the beginning of the quarantine, he did not dare to expect to be able to reach first place. “I only targeted myself to qualify for the top 6 at that time. However, I always believe that whatever the problem, and whatever solution we apply, if it is God’s destiny for us to be in this position, then it will happen according to what God wants,” he said.
It was also acknowledged that through this event, he received many things, ranging from motivation, briefing materials from resource persons experienced in their fields, making friends, and shared experiences in undergoing quarantine. He also stated the same thing as Sindy, continuing to prepare for competition at the next level with the hope of making the best results and achievements. “Of course, I will do the preparations better,” he concluded.
