Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) organizes Education and Training for Security Units (Satpam). This activity is one of the efforts to realize a professional security guard performance.
The training, which was held on 28 and 29 August 2023, was attended by 70 security guards at Undiksha. Implementation of Training in collaboration with PT. Asta Nadi Main Work. Through this activity, the security guards are given physical and theoretical training related to security.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Planning, Finance and General Affairs, Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa, S.Pd., M.Pd said that the role of security guards is very important for Undiksha as a public service. This role is not only related to security but can also touch on other things, such as reception or information services. Therefore it is very important to increase capacity and provide other insights related to professional ethics, service skills, communication skills, and so on. “With this short training, I hope the security guard’s performance will get better and more professional,” he said.
Delivering further, professional service by security guards is also very important to support Undiksha’s target of becoming an internationally reputable university.
Director of Education PT. Asta Nadi Karya Utama, and Putu Gede Indra, S.H. conveyed this training in order to increase the awareness and preparedness of security guards. “The most important thing is to be able to provide excellent service for both the academic community and the community,” he said.
He mentioned that the current challenge for security personnel is not only their physical endurance. But also skills in providing services. Collaboration with Undiksha in organizing this training can continue. (hms)
