Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education Postgraduate (Undiksha) “gave birth” to the 21st doctorate, Tuesday (9/2/2021). He is I Made Bawa Mulana, from the Education Science Study Program. In the exam that took place in the Postgraduate auditorium, Bawa Mulana who is a teacher at SMAN 4 Singaraja, Buleleng Regency presented his dissertation entitled “The Influence of Implementation of Performance Assessment on Mathematics Learning Outcomes in View of Cognitive Style by Controlling Mathematical Logical Intelligence’. The research results can be defended before the board of examiners.
After the exam, he admitted that he was happy because he was able to finish his studies amid the Covid-19 pandemic which had affected the course of guidance. “In the educational process, during the pandemic, it was a challenge, there were many obstacles, especially the guidance process. But it can still be assisted online and offline at certain times, and still get services from promoters and co-promoters,” he said.
Regarding the results of his research, it was stated that the application of performance assessments obtained better mathematics learning outcomes when compared to conventional assessments. He hopes that these results can contribute to the development of education in Indonesia.
Undiksha Postgraduate Director, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Putu Suharta, M.Sc., said that in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, his party was still making efforts to accelerate student graduation. The strategy rolled out is to distribute mentors according to their areas of expertise and also pay attention to the lecturers’ load. In addition, it also established a study acceleration service center whose job is to help students solve problems in the study, both academic and non-academic. “This is studied first.
