Singaraja- In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Law and Citizenship Department Student Association (HMJ) at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) carried out cleaning activities at Kerobokan Beach, Singaraja, Tuesday (1/6/2021). This activity is titled “Human and Environment Harmony”. On the same day, this student organization also planted flowers at the Curastana Heroes Cemetery, Singaraja, in commemoration of the birth of Pancasila. This activity has the theme “Activating Students Against Pancasila in Building the Millennial Generation”.
HMJ Chairman, Ketut Ade Candra Guna Pratama conveyed that beach cleaning is one of the efforts to raise awareness of the environment, especially coastal and marine areas in order to maintain good ecosystems.
This is to create a balanced harmonious life between the environment and human life.
Meanwhile, the flower-laying activity was intended to commemorate the services of the heroes as a form of appreciation for their services in defending the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. “This is also at the same time to increase our sense of nationalism and patriotism to the heroes who have fought,” he said.
Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., hopes that this activity can be carried out continuously and the reach can be wider. “We hope that the activities carried out by students can provide benefits to the community and provide motivation,” he said. Therefore, it is appropriate to continue to be rolled out. “Including education and teaching as well as research, students can also do it. So that the Tri Dharma of Higher Education can be fully implemented,” he hoped.
