Registration for the Merdeka Indonesia Smart College Card (KIP-K) 2024 is officially open. Students can register from February 12 to October 31, 2024.
Quoted from the 2024 KIP Independent College Registration Socialization webinar held by the Ministry of Education and Culture, there are several things that prospective applicants need to pay attention to.
Who is entitled to KIP Kuliah Merdeka?
- Students graduating from SMA/SMK/MA/equivalent who graduate in 2024 or a maximum of 2 years earlier
- Pass the selection at PTN or PTS with a study program accredited at least C or Good
- Has good academic potential but comes from a family with economic limitations
Who is prioritized based on economic limitations?
- Recipients of Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) assistance in the form of SMA/SMK Smart Indonesia Cards (KIP) registered at Dapodik and SiPintar
- Students from families who are included in the Integrated Social Welfare Data (DTKS) or recipients of social assistance determined by the ministry that handles social affairs, such as students from families participating in the Family Hope Program (PKH), students from families holding Prosperous Family Cards (KKS)
- Included in the poor community group is a maximum of 3 deciles in the Data for the Acceleration of Elimination of Extreme Poverty (PPKE) determined by the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture
- Students from social/orphanage institutions
- Students who meet the following requirements:
- Proof of combined gross income of parents/guardians of a maximum of IDR 4 million per month or IDR 750 thousand per family member
- Proof of a poor family in the form of a certificate of indigency (SKTM) issued and legalized by the government, minimum at the village/sub-district level.
