Singaraja- The Student Executive Board of the Republic of Students (BEM REMA) of the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) held a discussion on Secretariat and Financial Management, Monday (10/7/2023). This activity is at the same time to equate the perceptions of student organizations within Undiksha regarding the preparation of finance and correspondence.
This activity was attended by representatives from Ormawa in the Undiksha environment, starting from the Departmental Student Association (HMJ), Student Activity Unit (UKM), and also Faculty BEM.
Undiksha BEM REMA Student President, Ketut Yudi Darma Saputra explained that the implementation of this activity was due to the lack of uniformity among student organizations (Ormawa) at Undiksha in terms of correspondence and preparing financial reports and preparing proposals for funding. Therefore, this activity is considered very important in order to increase understanding. “Where correspondence and finance are important matters and BEM REMA needs to facilitate them so that students and also leaders remain on the same corridor,” he said.
On this occasion, the Head of the Finance and General Affairs Bureau Ni Luh Wayan Yasmiati, S.H., M.Pd and Functional Officer of Middle Financial Analyst I Putu Sudiarna, S.P who also served as resource persons provided material related to financial management and the preparation of financial reports at Undiksha. She really appreciated the organization of this activity. Through this activity, students from various elements of Ormawa are expected to be able to understand the mechanism for submitting proposals, both proposals for social service activities, competitions, and others. “I really appreciate this activity,” she explained.
In his presentation, the thing that was emphasized was related to budget efficiency. This is very important because students need to understand that the budget is not always available. In addition, it is necessary to understand the regulations from the proposal to the approval of the leadership. “So there must be distance and time in the proposal process for administrative processes and others until finally waiting for approval from the leadership,” she said.
After this activity, all Ormawa within Undiksha is expected to be able to understand related correspondence, financial management, and the flow of applying for funds properly and correctly so as to create administrative uniformity at Undiksha in accordance with applicable regulations. (hms)
