Singaraja- The series of the XXVII Anniversary of the Hindu Dharma Student Family or Keluarga Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma (KMHD) Yowana Brama Vidya of Universitas pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) was closed with an Art Performance Night, Sunday (19/2/2023). Through this momentum, the young generation of Hinduism is invited to become a generation that is CerIA.
The closing was carried out by the Advisor of KMHD YBV Undiksha, Dr. I Gusti Lanang Agung Parwata, S.Pd., M.Kes. He said that at the age of XXVII, KMHD YBV Undiksha entered adulthood. If it is like a human, this age is ready to do grahasta and can already think about good and bad, profit and loss from reality. In addition, the mindset is following the expected goals. “At this age we must reflect on ourselves. The present is a milestone for the future,” he said.
Amid the globalization era and the increasingly massive development of information technology, KMHD YBV Undiksha is also invited to become a generation that is CerIA, namely Smart, Integrity, and Adaptive. Intelligent in terms of intellectual but also emotional, social, and spiritual. Mastery of this intelligence will make a human being who is wise and ready to respond to situations. Meanwhile, integrity is related to character. This is shown by honesty, courtesy, fighting power, etc. Then for adaptive, adjusting to the situations and conditions while still seeing the good and bad sides. “Like now in the era of revolution 4.0, how social media is very broad and free. Without CerIA, we will be carried away in that situation,” he said.
On this occasion, Agung Parwata also hoped that KMHD YBV Undiksha could become a preserver of Balinese culture. In addition, as intellectuals, this organization can carry out more innovative activities in the future, such as conducting religious studies through dharma wacana and dharma tula.
The KMHD YBV Undiksha Anniversary series was filled with various activities, ranging from national seminars, the election of KMHD YBV Undiksha truna-truni (king and queen), and masatua (storytelling) competition for elementary school level in Bali, mapidarta (speech) competition for junior high school level in Bali, and Balinese traditional dress competition for high school level. Especially for Art Performance Night was filled with cultural arts performances and the coronation of KMHD 2023 teruna teruni. (hms)
