Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) welcomes its 29th Anniversary. The opening took place at the Jinengdalem Campus Indoor Tennis Sports Arena (GOR), Friday (7/1/2022). The academic community is invited to use this momentum as encouragement in realizing Excellent Undiksha for Resilient Indonesia. This was emphasized by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., in his remarks accompanied by the Deputy Chancellors.
He conveyed, throughout 2021, Undiksha had won various achievements. In the Key Performance Indicators (IKU) Undiksha is ranked 13th nationally and ranked 7th specifically for Public Service Agency State Universities (PTN-BLU). The Student Rating Management System (Simkatmawa) is ranked 13th nationally, up ten levels from 2020 which was ranked 23rd. Not only that, this superior accredited university is also included in the top 20 best universities in Indonesia according to the Scimago Institution Ranking, and won various national grants related to learning development.
Besides that, many Undiksha students also made achievements at the national and international levels. These achievements include innovation, technology, scientific writing, cultural arts, and sports.
Undiksha Chancellor, I Nyoman Jampel expressed his appreciation for these various achievements. According to him, this is the result of the joint work of the entire academic community. At the Age of Undiksha’s 29th, emphasized that Undiksha continues to race to improve the quality of implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Education and Teaching, Research, and Community Service. Likewise, internationalization activities remain a serious concern. These programs are none other than an effort to accelerate the realization of Undiksha’s vision of “Becoming an Excellent University Based on the Tri Hita Karana Philosophy in Asia in 2045”, as well as making Undiksha excel in order to support the realization of a resilient Indonesia and become a trendsetter and an internationally reputable university.
The Chancellor, who had served as Dean of the Undiksha Faculty of Education, said that in order to realize these targets, the entire academic community must be supported based on togetherness and harmony which is framed in Tri Hita Karana.
Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Putu Aditya Antara, M.Pd., said that this anniversary was taking place offline and online. This is an effort to anticipate the occurrence of crowds to prevent the spread of Covid-19. There are various competitions held, ranging from sports, scientific work, debate, and cultural arts with participants from each faculty. “For the competition, only the participants will be offline. For viewers to watch online,” he explained.
He further conveyed that the anniversary series was also filled with the inauguration of four professors or professors on January 12, 2022. He who is also Deputy Dean III of the Undiksha Faculty of Education hopes that this anniversary can be a place to build sportsmanship, build a spirit of work, and build togetherness in the academic community.
