VISI Undiksha Student Press held a working meeting this morning, Saturday, March 16 2019 in the Jayaprana room, FBS. In contrast to work meetings in general, VISI does not use a hammer as a symbol of agreement. There was only a small discussion between the invitees (UKM and PMK Undiksha) and the meeting participants (Persma VISI members). However, it is very unfortunate that the highest institutions at the student level, MPM and BEM Rema Undiksha, were not present at this working meeting.
This small discussion discusses the VISI Student Press work program, especially the Reporting program which has a new system. The coverage system designed this time will involve Ormawa to make it more effective and efficient.
Representatives from PMK offered that we at Ormawa be given writing training to make it easier to write news. The Chairman of Perma VISI responded directly, that this would indeed be implemented in the future if there was readiness from VISI and other ormawa. However, the thing that needs to be underlined is that when the activities being covered want to be criticized by Persma VISI, it is legal because this is the task of the press as social control.
Fadil, a representative from UKM Scouts, appreciated this small discussion to increase his confidence in speaking in forums between student organizations. He also wants Persma VISI to be able to criticize the implementation of the 4.0 revolution in Undiksha now and offer to participate in the training activities for writing essays and other written works.
Several representatives of other student organizations also agreed with the coverage system offered by the VISI Student Press. In the future, it is hoped that the work program prepared by Persma VISI can provide a glimmer of light to move forward and fight in the field of press. It can also facilitate students to work in the field of journalism.
