Singaraja– The implementation of the Retaker Teacher Professional Education Knowledge Test (UP-PPG) which was held by the University of Education of Ganesha (Undiksha) on 16 and 17 October 2021 went smoothly. This received appreciation from the Supervisor, Drs. Eded Tarmedi, M.A. Likewise, the supervisor’s performance is considered extraordinary. “The supervisors we see are extraordinary, how they help the participants,” he said.
He emphasized that excellent service really needs to be given by supervisors to participants, especially on the technical side. Don’t let participants fail the exam because of the inattentiveness of the supervisors. “Participants can only fail the test because they cannot answer the questions. Not because of technicality,” he said.
The supervisor who is also an academic at the Indonesian University of Education hopes that the next exam will run smoothly. In particular, he gave an assessment of this domicile-based exam. According to him, it has a number of advantages, such as being able to reduce costs for participants and reduce mobility. No less important, the implementation of the exam can be more objective because it is done individually. “In the midst of a pandemic like this, the model for administering this exam is the most appropriate. This can be used as a role model for similar exams,” he added.
As previously reported, UP retaker is an opportunity for re-examination for PPG participants who have not passed the previous exam. There were 760 participants in this exam consisting of 21 fields of study. The exam is carried out online, with participants located at their respective residences or places with internet access. The exam took place in four sessions, with 190 participants in each session, and involved 13 supervisors. (hms)
