Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) students have made another achievement. This time it comes from the Sriwijaya University (Unsri) History Fair 2023 National LKTI Branch which will take place on 29-31 September 2023.
In this event, which was attended by students from various universities in Indonesia, the Undiksha team consisting of Kadek Nova Suadnyana from the History Education study program and Gede Narayasa Utama from the D3 Library study program succeeded in becoming First Place through their research work on communities in the West Bali area.
Team leader Nova Suadnyana explained that this work was created because many people in the West Bali area are ex-pats. East Timor, causing the people there to become multicultural and have different religious, traditional, and ethnic backgrounds. “We studied this and focused the study on the social generosity that occurred,” he said.
The social generosity that exists in this area is in the form of a spirit of cooperation or what is often called brotherhood by Balinese people and is still often carried out culturally gasp or give each other. So this study aims to be used as a reference for a multicultural society for all Indonesian society.
This VII semester student also expressed his preparations for taking part in this activity for one month including data collection, analysis, and presentation in the form of written work. Through this event, he wants to gain experience in the field of study and writing which will be useful for the future.
His success in winning first place in this event was welcomed with pride and gratitude because the study presented could be trusted as a form of unity amidst Indonesia’s diversity. In the future, he already has several studies that will be contested, of course, based on various Balinese cultures and traditions. (hms)
