Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is again carrying out sharing activities with residents affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. This social action was coupled with cycling around Bali fronted by the Student Regiment Student Activity Unit (UKM-Menwa). This action takes place on 24 and 25 October 2020.
In this activity, Undiksha synergized with the Buleleng Indonesian Bicycle Sports Association (ISSI) and the Buleleng Road Bike. The release of the participants was carried out directly by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd at Central Campus, Singaraja at 06.00 WITA. Then the participants departed from Singaraja City to Jembrana-Tabanan-Badung and Denpasar on the first day and the second day continued to Gianyar-Klungkung-Karangasem-Singaraja and finished back at the Undiksha Campus. The route has a distance of 400.2 kilometers.
Meanwhile, the sharing action in the form of groceries was aimed at residents around the Lovina Beach area. The handover was carried out directly by the Chancellor of Jampel, accompanied by the Gowes Undiksha community. Apart from that, staple foods were also distributed to residents in Bungaya Village, Karangasem Regency. The Chancellor of Jampel appreciated this activity. He conveyed that this activity was a form of implementing higher education dharma, namely community service and implementation of the Tri Hita Karana philosophy, namely maintaining good relations between people. It is hoped that this activity can also carry out socialization missions about preventing the spread of Covid-19. “So this activity really provides benefits to the community,” he said. The implementation of this activity was supported by donations from a number of academics. The activity will continue with the distribution of groceries to other people in need. This step is to ease the economic burden. (hms)
