Singaraja- The fast track program initiated by the University of Education Ganesha (Undiksha) with Ming Chi University of Technology Taiwan continues. In 2023, Undiksha again sent eight students from a number of study programs. In addition, there was also one student who passed the Indonesia International Students Mobility Award (IISMA) program at the University of Warsaw, Poland
Prior to departure to the destination university, the student met with Undiksha’s Deputy Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation, Prof. Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I, Friday (1/9/2023). The fast track program is a form of implementing Internationalization at home launched by Undiksha in 2019. This program is in collaboration with Ming Chi University of Technology, namely students studying for 3 years at Undiksha and 2 years in Taiwan to get bachelor’s and master’s degrees. This program is in its third year. The students who passed came from the English Education Study Program, Communication Science Study Program, Information Systems Study Program, Accounting Study Program, and Physics Education Study Program. It is hoped that this collaboration will continue so that students are invited to show their academic performance so that stronger trust is built in MCUT.
Apart from the MCUT, Undiksha also designed a fast-track program with Anger University and La Rochelle University, France. For study programs that are expected to be able to expand cooperation with universities abroad to provide opportunities to get international.
Apart from the fast track, there was also 1 student from the Law Study Program who took part in the IISMA program with self-funding. By participating in this international program, students are expected to gain knowledge and experience, especially in the academic climate.
Rasben Dantes also conveyed that in this program, universities cannot help much financially, but can only provide financial assistance that is not large. However, he emphasized that Undiksha tries to be present for students, to be a bridge to success.
Kadek Ayu Komala Dewi and I Gede Krisna Adi admitted that they were interested in joining the fast-track program because from the start they had the motivation to continue their master’s education abroad. Therefore, the opportunity from Undiksha should not be missed. His wish also received the full support of his family. At MCUT, both of them will study business and administration.
Meanwhile, students participating in IISMA, Sinatriagung Mintojati, said that the competition in the IISMA selection was very tight, with around 10,000 participants participating. Armed with a strong mentality and high motivation, he succeeded in becoming one of the participants who passed. At the University of Warsaw, Poland, students of the Law Study Program will take part in a four-month program from September to December 2023 and study international relations. Although self-funded, his participation in this program received full support from his parents.
The progress of these students in international programs is expected to further introduce the name Undiksha at foreign universities. Besides that, it can also be a motivation for other students to take part in a similar program. (hms)
