Publishing journals of international reputation is the focus of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha). This is one way to improve the university grade. “We continue to encourage international journal entry,” said Deputy Chancellor I, Prof. Dr. Ida Bagus Putu Arnyana, M.Sc., after a meeting with the Undiksha development team in Ganesha I Room, on Monday (12/11/2018).
This academic from Gianyar said that so far there have been hundreds of journals that were “born” by lecturers. However, there are only a few who have entered Sinta II or have a national reputation. Meanwhile for international or Scopus indexed it is still nil. “This is what we are pursuing, especially those under Undiksha,” he explained.
Supporting this, he continued, Undiksha has prepared the Open Journal System (OJS), including the server. He emphasized that this journal is also important to support the promotion of lecturers which will later help raise the university’s grade. “We will continue to pursue it. Now the interest of the lecturers is good because the journal is for promotion purposes. Students are also encouraged to do so. This is important to support institutional accreditation. “Not just for individuals,” he said. (hms)
