Singaraja – The Ganesha Education University (Undiksha) Student Entrepreneurship Program (PMW) was launched again in 2019. The program, which is run by the Student Career and Entrepreneurship Development UPT (PKKM), is an effort to foster graduate independence. In the sense that you are not only focused on being a worker but can be an entrepreneur.
Head of UPT PKKM Undiksha, Dr. I Gusti Lanang Agung Parwata, S.Pd., M.Kes., explained that according to the data, there were 90 proposals submitted for the program. However, after administrative selection and verification by reviewers, only 39 were declared to have passed. Following up on this, students who were members of the team were given briefings in the Seminar Room of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences (FHIS) Undiksha, Friday (14/6/2019). “This program stage started last April. Quite a lot of proposals have come in. There are various forms of business. “There are culinary delights, services, and so on,” he explained.
After the training, he continued, the team will take part in an internship program in a place that suits the type of business being initiated. From this, it is hoped that you will gain deeper knowledge regarding management. The UPT PKKM together with the related teams also carry out continuous monitoring and evaluation. “There are various types of businesses. There are culinary delights, services, and so on. “This has a touch of innovation,” said Parwata, who is also a lecturer at the Undiksha Faculty of Sports and Health.
To launch this program, Undiksha also provided an injection of funds. Even though the number is still relatively small, it is hoped that it will be able to stimulate students to carry out innovative movements. “The funds provided are adjusted to the form of business. The amount ranges from three million to six million. We want through this program, students will have more skills that can be used when they graduate. “We continue to promote this,” he said.
It is hoped that the creative ideas put forward by students from various study programs can also be proposed in national-level competitions specifically about entrepreneurship. “Student achievements are very important to support institutional rankings. “So we hope that the business ideas created by these students can be contested,” he added.
Deputy Chancellor III Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd said that student achievement must be encouraged, including in the field of entrepreneurship. They also made this a serious concern. “We need to improve management. This must be maximized. “I want more achievements in the future,” he stressed. (hms)
