Singaraja – Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) continues to improve quality, including for postgraduate programs. This is an effort to increase competitiveness. Director, Prof. Dr. I Gusti Suharta, M.Si said this after the inauguration and taking the oath of office, Wednesday (12/6/2019).
Currently, the Master’s and Doctoral study programs are still accredited B. This is receiving serious attention to be pushed to A, following institutional accreditation. However, based on the Science and Technology Index (SINTA) of the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education as of May 2019, 12 of the 13 study programs have succeeded in entering the top five nationally. “Increasing accreditation has become the institution’s target. “Of course, it’s the same for postgraduate studies,” he said.
The addition of study programs, continued by the former Deputy Chancellor I of Undiksha, also did not go unnoticed. It is considered that there are still a number of study programs that are possible to open and are of interest to the public. “Of course, the direction is towards additions. So that there can be more,” he explained.
The same thing is also done with the student body. The number is targeted to increase in the future. To balance this, promotion continues to be encouraged, including improving the quality of education and graduates. “We continue to make efforts to ensure the number of students can continue to increase. “This also includes boosting online learning,” he added.
This was one of the concerns at the Undiksha leadership meeting in the Ganesha I Room of the Rectorate, on Monday (17/6/2019). Undiksha Chancellor, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., also wants Postgraduate studies to produce the best quality, so that it can support an increase in the grade of the institution. It is no less important in realizing Undiksha’s vision as a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. “I want Postgraduate to be able to provide the best for the institution,” he said.
