Singaraja– The Bali Chess Tournament was held by the Ganesha University of Education Chess Student Activity Unit (UKM), Saturday (12/10/2019). This competition with participants from elementary, junior high, high school to college students is one of the ways to capture superior seeds.
Report to the head of the committee, I Kadek Susena Atmaja Jaya, the event which carried the theme “Determining Strategies Towards Action with Sportsmanship” was attended by 245 participants. They will compete for the fixed cup and the rotating cup. This tournament also provides an opportunity for young chess players to demonstrate their ability to organize their strategies.
Vice Chancellor III Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., gave his appreciation for this event. From this, it is hoped that a chess master will be born, especially Undiksha who is able to compete in the national and international arena. “We also continue to provide support for students and programs that provide opportunities for students to develop abilities and skills both in the academic and non-academic fields in order to create a superior Undiksha,” he said.
