The election for the sons and daughters of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) was again held by the Keputrian Student Activity Unit (UKM), on Saturday (8/12/2018). This annual event is a medium for developing creativity and increasing intellectuality in various fields, one of which is culture.
Head of UKM, Luh Putu Sunita Mahayani, Thursday (6/12/2018) explained that this event was attended by 57 participants from all faculties in Undiksha. The number increased from last year which was only 38 participants. “The number of participants has increased. This activity increases our love for the nation’s artistic, cultural, and ancestral heritage. “This also includes increasing capabilities in various fields,” she said.
This election is packaged like a district or provincial Jegeg-Bagus election. Participants must complete the administrative requirements. At the preliminary stage, you must take a written test and interview. This stage is to find 10 finalists to then undergo quarantine. “On December 8, these ten will perform at the coronation night. The place is at the Undiksha Auditorium. “They also previously underwent quarantine,” explained this fifth-semester student of the Bachelor of Accounting Program, Faculty of Economics.
He further stated that the implementation of this election was different from last year. Namely, before the selection of jegeg – good for Buleleng Regency. “Last year, after the elections were good, it just started running. But now getting started. We want through this, participants can prepare themselves to take part in higher events. “Both district, provincial and national,” he said. (hms)
