Singaraja-Ganesha Education University has established itself to transform from a Public Service Agency State University (PTN-BLU) to a Legal Entity PTN (BH). In line with this, governance has been strengthened in various aspects, including asset and service management and public information disclosure. This strengthening was carried out through focused discussions, Saturday (27/1/2024).
The activity which took place at the Sunari Hotel, Lovina presented two speakers. First, the Head of the Bali and Nusa Tenggara DJKN Regional Office, Sudarsono, presented material on asset management. Second, the Commissioner of the Central Information Commission, Syawaludin.
Undiksha Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes said that performance indicators for managing state property or assets are also one of the mandates of Presidential Regulation Number 81 of 2010 concerning Grand Design for Bureaucratic Reform 2010-2025. Therefore, Undiksha strives to improve the quality of its management according to existing principles. “Of course, management can be measured and presented in the form of State Property Management Performance Indicators or Asset Management Index (IPA) as Strengthening Good Governance in BMN Management,” he said.
Meanwhile, for services and openness of public information, in 2023 Undiksha received the title of an informative public body. However, Prof. Sudiana admits that improvements still need to be made, both in information services and documentation. It is hoped that the public information managed by Undiksha in the future will be more accurate, easily accessible to the public, easy to understand, and supported by the development of information and documentation systems. “The KIP Law encourages public participation with the existence of a national KIP index. “This assessment in the form of the Public Information Openness Index is not only a reflection of the information services provided by public bodies but can be used as a guide in improving information services in the future,” he said.
The resource person, Sudarsono, said that to become a PTN-BH, asset management is very important to pay attention to. He emphasized that the current spirit of management is not only about administrative order, physical order, and legal order. But it can also contribute to increasing Non-Tax State Revenue (PNBP).
Regarding services and public information disclosure, Syawaludin emphasized that it is very important. Apart from fostering public trust in public bodies, it also encourages public participation in the process of making public policies and good management of public bodies and encourages transparent, efficient, and accountable state administration. Through the openness of public information, there is also a guarantee of the right for everyone to know plans, programs, processes, and reasons for making public policies, including those related to the lives of many people.
