Thousands of Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) students visited a number of villages to carry out the Real Work Lecture (KKN) program, last June 24. To ensure that everything goes well, in this first week, the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., carried out the field visit. Dawan Kaler Village, Dawan District, Klungkung Regency was targeted, Saturday (29/6/2019). The presence of the Chancellor from South Kuta, Badung Regency was accompanied by the Deputy Chancellor I, Dr. I Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.TI, and Chair of LPPPM, Prof. Dr. A. A. I N Marhaeni, M.A. was received directly by the local Perbekel, I Made Sudarmawa.
The Chancellor appreciated the support of the Dawan Kaler Village Government for providing a place to carry out the program for students who previously had places in Sampalan Tengah Village, Dawan District. It is hoped that students can contribute to supporting village development, in the fields of education, health, and social culture. “We would like to thank the village government and community for accepting students to carry out the program. “Hopefully it can provide benefits to the village,” he said.
It was also conveyed that Undiksha has campaigned for Tri Hita Karana, which is the basis for realizing the vision of becoming a superior university in Asia by 2045. It is hoped that this philosophy can be implemented well by students, one of which is in establishing relationships with the community. “We always emphasize that the foundation of this program is Tri Hita Karana,” he stressed, adding that KKN participants in other villages also do the same. Perbekel I Made Sudarmawa said he was ready to accept students. They also hope to be able to work together to support village development through programs that have been designed.
