Singaraja- The Undiksha Law Study Program provides opportunities for students to get to know the world of work in an effort to improve skills and competitiveness. This is demonstrated through the Legal Skills and Proficiency Practice (PKKH) program.
In this program, semester 7 students are given the opportunity to carry out PKKH which is spread across several legal agencies both inside and outside the Bali region, such as the Banyuwangi DPRD Office, Singaraja District Court, Buleleng District Prosecutor’s Office, Bali Police, Buleleng Religious Court, Buleleng Resort Police, Amlapura District Court, Immigration Office and various other law offices such as an Advocate’s Office and Notary’s Office.
The Coordinator of the Legal Studies Program, Ni Putu Rai Yuliartini, S.H., M.H., in the farewell event as well as the withdrawal of PKKH Students from the Buleleng District Attorney’s Office, Friday (6/10/2020) explained that this program is to provide opportunities for students to get to know the world of work which they will be involved in when they hold a bachelor’s degree. “Through this, they will get experience earlier,” she explained.
Delivered further, through this students are also expected to learn to be more responsible and disciplined. “Our hope is that with the participation of students in this program, besides aiming to introduce the world of work to students as well as educating students to be used to being disciplined and responsible when involved in the community environment,” she said.
The same thing was conveyed by the Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M., who said this program is a medium for training students’ skills and proficiency to form character which is very important as a provision when entering the world of work. “So students don’t only have to master academic knowledge. But also character. This is important to face the competition, “he said.
Meanwhile, the Head of Intelligence at the Buleleng State Prosecutor’s Office, Anak Agung Ngurah Jayalantara S.H., M.H., who represents the Head of the Buleleng State Prosecutor’s Office said that in this program students have managed to adapt to their work environment, even though the time given is relatively short, namely for two months.
One of the students, Ni Putu Wulan Noviarini appreciated this program because it was able to provide space to apply as well as add to the knowledge gained in lectures. “With this program, my friends and I feel very helpful because there are many things we can learn in this place that we haven’t learned in class. Because theory must also be balanced with practice, only then will we feel understood,” she said. (rls)
