Denpasar- The Undiksha contingent, accompanied by the Vice Rector of Undiksha for Students Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes., participated in the send-off of Bali’s Art Ambassador Students representative for Peksiminas XVII 2024, on Monday, August 26, 2024. This ebent is part of the agenda before the departure of the Bali contingent to the National Student Art Week (Peksiminas) in Jakarta, which will take place from September 2 to 7, 2024.
The send-off ceremony was officiated by the Governor of Bali on this occasion, was represented by expert staff. This event provided an opportunity to offer motivation, hope, and prayers to all contingents, with the wish that they achieve success and bring home prestigious awards.
In his role as the Head of Peksiminas BPSMI Bali Committee, Prof. Sudiana emphasized that Peksiminas is one of the programs dedicated to developing students’ interests and talent in the arts. Peksiminas aims to encourage students to excel academically while also becoming creative, innovative, highly competitive, and well-rounded individuals. “The process to qualify for Peksiminas involves selection at the university level, provincial level (Peksimida), and finally the national level (Peksiminas),” he explained.
Specifically for Undiksha, three students will showcase their talents at Peksiminas, which will be held at Jakarta State University. These students are Diah Elsa, who will compete in the Female Poetry Competition, Prima Djoyi Mahardika, who will participate in the Female Keroncong Singing Competition, and Selfiana who will compete in the Female Dangdut Competition. They will compete at the national level and represent Bali.
Prof. Sudiana expressed his hope that the entire Bali contingent at Peksiminas will fulfill their duties and achieve outstanding results, thereby upholding and bringing pride to Bali’s reputation in the arts.
