Singaraja– The Faculty of Sports and Health, University of Education, Ganesha (FOK-Undiksha) took a strategic step to make the Independent Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) a policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology successful. This step is through expanding cooperation in implementing the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. One of these things was discussed with the Indonesian Football Association (PSSI), Tuesday (30/11/2021).
The discussion took place at the FOK Campus, in Jinengdalem Village, Buleleng Regency. On this occasion, Deputy Dean I FOK, Dr. Ketut Yoda, and Deputy Dean II, Dr. I Wayan Artanayasa accompanied by a number of lecturers. He met PSSI’s Head of Coaching Education, Yeyen Tumena.
After the meeting, Ketut Yoda appreciated the presence of PSSI representatives at Undiksha. He conveyed, from the discussion there were a number of things that were formulated for cooperation, namely the implementation of the MBKM policy, Coaching Education for students, especially for football, as well as other programs in order to improve the achievements of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) for faculties and universities. “This is an extraordinary visit for us at the Faculty of Sports and Health in order to produce alumni who are strong and qualified in the field of sports,” he said.
Meanwhile, Yeyen Tumena expressed his desire to collaborate with Undiksha regarding increasing the competence of Human Resources in the field of coaching in Indonesian football. This is considered important because many coaches come from universities. “And we want to strengthen that cooperation. This is also in line with the ministry’s program, namely MBKM,” he said.
This collaboration is expected to have a positive impact on Undiksha. Later the graduates will not only get a Coaching S-1 degree but also get a companion certificate that is recognized by the AFC and PSSI. Thus, the graduates are increasingly ready to enter the community and are ready to be accepted as trainers.
Considering that the essence of this collaboration is very important, then it will be followed by an MoU between the General Chairperson of PSSI and the Chancellor of Undiksha, and then followed by a collaboration with faculties and departments. (hms)
