Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education 2021 will again become the executor of the In-service Teacher Professional Education (PPG-Daljab) program. Supporting this, the largest state university in North Bali held a recruitment and refreshment of lecturers and teacher instructors, Tuesday (6/4/2021).
PPG Undiksha Coordinator represented by PPG Undiksha Secretary, Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., said that the recruitment and refresher activities for instructors were attended by 202 people consisting of 109 lecturers and 93 teachers from 11 fields of study, namely Balinese Language Education, Indonesian Language Education, English, Counseling, Elementary Class Teachers, Kindergarten Class Teachers, Science Education, Mathematics Education, Physical Education, Sports and Health, Fine Arts Education, and Computer and Informatics Engineering Education. These lecturers will later be tasked with guiding students in developing learning tools and PPL activities and the teacher will be tasked with accompanying PPG lecturers/instructors. “For this reason, this time we are doing a refresher. Providing information regarding assignments and other related matters,” he said.
This event was opened by the Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs and Cooperation of Undiksha, Dr. Gede Rasben Dantes, S.T., M.T.I. He conveyed that PPG is one of the mainstay spearheads of the government to produce teachers who are superior, more professional, and of higher quality. Such a teacher becomes the foundation for “giving birth” to excellent Human Resources (HR), as is the ideal of the Indonesian nation to support realizing an advanced nation.
The importance of the PPG Program, according to this academic from Badung Regency, needs to be supported with maximum performance by the instructors. Instructors are able to provide guidance, awaken the potential possessed by the participants, as well as encourage them to continue to innovate, especially in the field of teaching. This is also one of the hopes of the government. “I appreciate the involvement of lecturers and teachers. We hope that the PPG process will get better in the future and be able to produce professional and quality teachers,” he said.
In addition to giving remarks, he was also a resource person with other PPG implementing teams, namely Dr. I Wayan Widiana, S.Pd., M.Pd., Desak Putu Pajarastuti, M.Pd., and I Gusti Putu Anom Arimbawa, ST. The material presented includes the PPG Undiksha Policy in 2021, material deepening (analysis of problem-based teaching materials) and assessment systems, development of learning tools (learning design) and assessment systems, field experience practices (learning practices) and assessment systems, as well as LMS and SIMPKB technical guidance.
