Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) makes 2020 a strengthening of the internationalization program at home. The academic community is asked to provide full support by improving service quality and self-quality. This was conveyed by the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd on the sidelines of Krida, Friday (12/27/2019).
It was explained that the program that had been launched in 2019 was expected to be able to make Undiksha the home of the international community. Support from the entire academic community is very important. “With this program, employees, and lecturers must be able to provide good service. Must master a foreign language, at least English. So that we can communicate when foreign students ask questions,” he emphasized.
To boost mastery of foreign languages, this A-accredited tertiary institution has rolled out a conversation and speaking class program in collaboration with the International Center of English Excellence (ICEE). “This program must be utilized optimally. This includes students,” said the Chancellor of Jampel.
Apart from internationalization at home, the Chancellor from Nusa Dua also emphasized that in his vision for the 2019-2023 position, Undiksha could become a trendsetter university. This must also receive support from all parties, including in accelerating Undiksha’s vision of becoming a superior university based on the Tri Hita Karana philosophy in Asia in 2045. “I want Undiksha to become a reference in Eastern Indonesia and nationally. Could be in hospitality, or something else. Now we have a lot of people who appreciate it,” he said.
This was also emphasized in a meeting with the Quality Assurance Center (PJM) at the Undiksha General Seminar Building (GSU), Thursday (12/26/2019). This university with eight faculties already has nine study programs that are accredited A. However, efforts to improve quality must be carried out so that they can be more competitive. “I appreciate PJM’s extraordinary performance. For 2020, we still ask for your support to make Undiksha even better,” he concluded. (hms)
