Singaraja– The progress of the younger generation who are registered as students at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) who are representatives of the Province of Bali in the 2023 Inter-Provincial Youth Exchange (PPAP) program is not only Ni Luh Eniasih from the Law Study Program. Another student is I Made Dwi Pramana.
This Mathematics Education study program student started his journey at the national event as a delegation from Badung Regency, his homeland. He participated in the selection at the Bali Province level and in the end was trusted to represent Bali at the national level. He got a placement in Mekar Jaya Village, Pangkalan Kerinci District, Pelalawan Regency, Riau Province. He participated in this program from 3 July to 7 August 2023.
This national event aims to shape the character of Indonesian Youth who are independent, superior, and competitive as well as having a pioneering spirit, caring and social volunteering based on the spirit of mutual cooperation which hopes to drive the Youth Development Index and Regional Development in Placement Provinces.
The event which was attended by 70 participants from 35 provinces in Indonesia was filled with strategic and superior youth activities to be carried out collaboratively across sectors or across ministries. Collaboration in question is that it can be done with various forms of activities, such as training, provision of capital, management guidance, and others.
Currently, in his placement area, Dwi Pramana is forming a tourism village program. This program is expected to make Mekar Jaya Village a tourist village by utilizing local wisdom in the area. This Tourism Village is in-launching on July 29 2023 and at the same time forming Pokdarwis along with wellness tourism-based tour packages.
His participation in this event was because he wanted to try to get out of his comfort zone to seek experience and knowledge that he might not be able to get in his hometown. Besides that, he wants to find relationships and prove that youth can be agents of change. “Not only that, but I also want to prove that youth can be agents of change,” he explained.
His participation in this program is certainly inseparable from the support of his parents, the Badung Regency Government, the Bali Provincial Government, and also Undiksha. “My parents fully support every activity that I participate in while the activity has a positive impact,” he explained.
Many things and benefits were felt while participating in this activity. Starting from getting to know the diversity of cultures, potentials, and traditions from every region in Indonesia and adding new insights and other valuable knowledge. (hms)
