In commemoration of World Aids Day which falls on Saturday (1/12), UKM PIK-M Pelana held an HIV/AIDS sharing session. This activity was held on Saturday (8/12), at the Parahyangan Undiksha wantilan. This sharing session had the theme “Zero Virus, Zero Discrimination”, the speaker was Mami Sisca. This sharing session activity was attended by 50 students. Before the sharing session, funds were collected on Saturday (1/12) in several places. Fundraising was carried out for a series of events and donated to the Citra Usada Indonesia Foundation which was held on Sunday (9/12).
The opening of this sharing session began with singing the songs Indonesia Raya and Mars Undiksha, followed by prayer. Then the report from the chairman of the committee was followed by a speech from the UKM PIKM Pelana supervisor as well as opening the event with the beating of a gong. The main event was a sharing session which was filled by Mami Sisca providing material about HIV/AIDS. After the presentation is finished, it continues with reflection. Meditation is done by lighting candles and reading poetry. Each person brought a candle that had been distributed by the committee, followed by a poetry reading accompanied by music. After that, the award was handed over by the UKM chairman together with the committee chairman to the presenters. (Ayu Krisna)
