The Student Regiment more commonly known as Menwa is one of the National Defense Reserve Components which is trained and educated directly by the TNI-AD at Rindam XI Udayana Kediri, Tabanan.
Student Activity Unit (UKM) Ugracena Bali Student Regiment (Menwa) Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja consists of three Companies and one Headquarters Company, namely: Headquarters Company located at Ganesha Education University (UNDIKSHA), Company A located at Panji Sakti University ( UNIPAS), Company B is located at the Hindu Religious Teacher Training and Education College (STKIP – AH) and Company C is located at the Denpasar Program Implementation Unit (UPP) UNDIKSHA Branch.
On Friday 7 December 2018, the Pre-Education Ceremony for the Ugracena Bali Student Regiment Unit Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja was held which was officially opened by the Unit Commander of Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja. This Pre-Education Unit activity was held for three (3) days from 7 – 9 December 2018 and was attended by 11 participants consisting of 2 boys and 8 girls from various departments at UNDIKSHA and 1 boy from UNIPAS. This activity was guided directly by the Training Command (KOLAT) which is a member of the B-920/Jayastambha Battalion Regiment and was held at the Central Campus of the Ganesha University of Education.
This Pre-Education Unit activity aims to form, train, and educate Prospective Student Regiments often called CAMEN. As expressed Gede Guntur Juliana, a student majoring in Accounting in the Undergraduate Program who is the Commander of the Ugracena Bali Student Regiment Unit, Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja, said that one of Camen’s many reasons for registering to become a member of UKM Menwa was because he wanted to become someone who was disciplined. , have the mentality of a leader, and dedicate themselves to the Institution, Nation, and State.
In this Pre-Education Unit, various theoretical and practical materials are taught to Menwa Candidates. Every morning, afternoon, evening and even at night Camen is forged both physically and mentally to prepare himself to take further education, namely Pre-Education and Basic Training for Ugracena Bali Regimental Command Unit (SKOMEN) at the provincial level.
The material taught directly by the Menwa Ugracena Bali Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja Alumni and Training Command (KOLAT) to Regimental Candidates included; National Insight, Leadership, Ministry, Marching Regulations (PBB), How to Give Instructions (CMI), Military Ceremonies (TUM), Military Honors Regulations (PPM) Internal Service Affairs Regulations (PUDD), Bivouac Survival, Field First Aid ( LONGMALAP) and CARAKA.
This activity ended on Sunday, December 9, 2018, and was officially closed by the Unit Commander of the Ugracena Bali Student Regiment Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja. This unit’s Pre-Education activities have been carried out smoothly in accordance with the expectations of all parties. We hope that Candidates for the Ugracena Bali Battalion B-920/Jayastambha Undiksha Singaraja Student Regiment can take part in further education with the Spirit of Never Giving Up.
