Singaraja- New students at the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) who took part in the Introduction to Campus Life activity, Friday (13/8/2021) received a variety of material. One of them is about tips on success. This material was conveyed by the Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf), Dra. Ni Wayan Giri Adnyani, M.Sc., CHE., who is an alumni of Undiksha.
This woman from Cau Blayu Village, Marga District, Tabanan has had a life journey full of ups and downs. Before taking part in the ministry or entering the world of bureaucracy, he who graduated from the English education study program never thought he would become a teacher or lecturer. However, this could not materialize due to his family status which required him to live in Jakarta. In a city that is now known as a megapolitan city, he once tried to get rid of boredom by applying for jobs in hotels and seeking experience elsewhere. “But maybe his way of life really has to be a civil servant. So I didn’t leave civil servants, this is indeed the best, so I accept what I face in front of me, love what I get, “he explained.
Success according to him must be supported by a struggle. You have to have the courage to start positive things and always be based on gratitude, keep learning and moving to become a better person than before. According to him also, success is very attached to the support and prayers of parents and honesty. “Be the best version of yourself. Whatever is occupied or done, everything is important for social life,” he said.
Another thing that is emphasized to students is lifelong learning. Learning is meant not only by books but also by the behavior of other people. “Because we humans are imperfect. There must be advantages possessed by the people who are around, for example, I go home to meet my parents, there is a grandmother who may not have a high education but I can learn many things from them, how to live with tolerance, respect for that person I also learn from many people,” he added. He also hopes that Undiksha students can become a successful generation and be able to become the pride of many people, besides having high competitiveness. (hms)
