Denpasar: TRPL or Undiksha Software Engineering Technology Study Program held a Focus Group Discussion (FGD) with the World of Bussiness and Industry (DUDI) about the Management of Project Based Learning (PBL) through Teaching Factory/Teaching Industry. This activity was held for two days in Denpasar on 16 and 17 November 2022.
This activity is one of the implementations series of competitive vocational funds from the Indonesian Ministry of Education and Culture, which the Undiksha TRPL Study Program successfully obtained in 2022. Present as a guest speaker, Secretary of the Department of Electrical Engineering and UGM Vocational School Informatics, Muhammad Fakhrurrifqi, S.Kom., M.Cs. , and KLSD of the Ministry of Education and Culture, Agus Nugroho, S.T., M.T. Also present as invitees from DUDI, Director of PT Dimata Sora Jayate, CEO of PT Devata Kreatif Internasional, leader of PT Jaya Kertha Solusindo, representatives of PT Hooki Global Kreasi, and representatives of PT Guna Teknologi Nusantara.
Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Vocational, Prof. Dr. I Gede Sudirtha, S.Pd., M.Pd., enthusiastically welcomed this FGD activity to gather input and opportunities for collaboration with DUDI and partners to create project-based learning, which is expected to increase the output of appropriate products for society and the government, especially in supporting the tourism industry and creative economy.
Project-based learning is a learning model that makes students the subject or center of learning, emphasizing the learning process, which has the final result as a product. “Until now the Undiksha TRPL study program has established 10 collaborations with DUDI, and partners related to curriculum development, practical lecturers, internships, teaching factories, and recruitment of graduates that ready to work,” he said.
Efforts to expand collaboration will continue to be carried out by the faculty in terms of partners and activities, especially on a national and international scale. This step is an effort to improve the quality of both faculty and graduates. (rls/hms)
