Singaraja- Ganesha University of Education delegated a team in a 45 Km men’s walking race in Buleleng Regency, on Saturday (10/8/2019) to commemorate the 74th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia. It is hoped that the younger generation will not only chase champions. More importantly, being able to give a good image based on the philosophy of Tri Hita Karana which is the foundation of Undiksha’s vision as a superior university in Asia in 2045. “I emphasize, to win is that number. But how can you make the best contribution to society in celebrating the Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia, said the Chancellor of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd who directly witnessed the competition. He who was accompanied by Vice Chancellor III, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd hopes that through this annual event, the next generation of this nation can be more enthusiastic about implementing the four pillars of Indonesian nationality, namely Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Republic of Indonesia and Bhineka Tunggal Ika.
Delivered further, to fill the current independence, not necessarily by risking body and soul like the ancestors. However, it can be done by carrying out positive movements that contribute to increasing the dignity of the nation and creating a just and prosperous society. “We can improve the quality of ourselves to fill that independence, is to create a just and prosperous society, loyal to the four pillars, Pancasila, the 1945 Constitution, the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia, and Bhineka Tunggal Ika. This is what we hope can happen through walking,” he said. Through this annual event, students are expected to be more enthusiastic about reaching for the future, including producing achievements in other fields, both at national and international levels. “From this too, we want students to be able to show the image of Undiksha, namely by continuing to show Tri Hita Karana.
