Singaraja- The Student Activity Unit (UKM) PKIM-Pelana Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha) succeeded in entering the top three in the 2023 National Level Pilot PIK-R competition in the 20-24-year-old “collaborating” category. This UKM qualified to represent the Bali Province BKKBN. In line with this, on Tuesday (26/9/2023), a direct visitation was carried out by the Central BKKBN.
This visitation was attended directly by the Director of Central BKKBN Youth Resilience Development, Dr. Edi Setiawan. He was accompanied by BKKBN Bali Representatives and Acting. The Regent of Buleleng, represented by the Head of the Buleleng P2KBP3A Service, Nyoman Riang Pustaka, was received by the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations, and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. I Ketut Sudiana, M.Kes.
On this occasion, Prof. Sudiana said that Undiksha is trying to provide space for students to develop soft skills through Student Activity Units, one of which is UKM PKIM Pelana. He expressed his appreciation to these UKM for their participation in the national competition and hoped that from this visitation they would get the best results. He emphasized that participation in the competition is not just about winning, but how UKM can contribute to providing ideas and ideas that are useful for the younger generation, both related to family planning and other things, such as preventing juvenile delinquency, preventing sexual violence, and preventing terrorism.
Meanwhile, the Director of Youth Resilience Development at the Central BKKBN, Dr. Edi Setiawan conveyed that this competition was an effort to create a quality young generation. He invited the PKIM Pelana movement to provide education not only within the campus. But it can be extended to the community through mentoring activities. This was also emphasized by PJ.
