Singaraja- Undiksha students took turns making achievements. This time from the National Essay Writing Competition organized by the Student Senate of the Faculty of Sharia and Law, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel Surabaya, August 3, 2021. The team consisting of Putu Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri and Nur Widyas Junior Timbeng from the Law Studies Study Programme won third place.
Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri, the team leader, said that the competition she participated in had the theme “Assuring Legislator Quality Towards Legal Efficiency in Indonesia.” The essay is entitled “Questioning the Legislator’s Capability in the Process of Passing the Draft Law on the Elimination of Sexual Violence.” Interest in discussing this issue is because, currently, cases of sexual violence tend to increase. Still, on the other hand, several existing legal instruments do not specifically regulate the protection and recovery of victims. “So the PKS Bill becomes urgent to be immediately ratified by lawmakers to realize legal efficiency in Indonesia,” she explained on Wednesday (4/8/2021).
In order to get the best results, a lot of preparation must be done, starting from the preparation of the script to the presentation stage. “Before entering the presentation stage, the manuscripts were first selected to become the top 8 winners,” he said. In this event, the Undiksha team also had to deal with teams from well-known universities that were considered prestigious. Even so, this did not dampen the spirit to compete and remain optimistic to present the best work so that the institution can still make the institution proud. “I am very happy that this struggle has won the championship,” she said, adding that this achievement motivated her to improve her personal quality.
Head of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H. LL.M appreciates the achievements of its students. “In this pandemic situation, law students are able to continue to give achievements to Undiksha.
