This time, Bravo Undiksha won 2 National level champions at the XXI Open Bridge Championship, which was organized by the Faculty of Engineering, the University of Tanjungpura, online through the Bridge Base Online Platform (BBO) from October 15 – October 17, 2021.
The championship was divided into Junior KU21 and KU26 categories, the Undiksha Bridge Contingent, captained by Gede Raditya Manohara, only went down to Team KU21 and Pair KU21. Where the Undiksha Team consists of Gede Raditya Manohara (Information Systems Study Program), Gede Arya Suryana Murtika Wangsa (Penjaskesrek Study Program), I Gede Agus Wirya Jaya (Mathematics Education Study Program), and Kadek Sumertayasa (Computer Science Study Program) managed to win 1st place for the Team category which followed by 16 teams. Meanwhile, the Gede Raditya Manohara and Gede Arya Suryana Murtika Wangsa pair won 2nd place for the KU21 pair category, which was attended by 40 pairs from various universities in Indonesia.
Confirmed, Monday (10/25/2021), Raditya, as the Team Captain, said that to achieve this result, the Undiksha contingent had to play many sessions. “For the Team category, we played 5 preliminary sessions and 5 final sessions,” he said. Furthermore, the Undiksha Bravo Team managed to qualify for the final after defeating the ITS Mine team with an IMP score of 72-0, and managed to qualify for the final with 5 other teams such as the Malang Team (Aremania), Pasuruan Team (GOBES), UNAIR Team (Ksatria Airlangga). ), the ITS Team (ITS Valir), and the UNTAN Team (FTBC Anon). “The scheme in this final round uses the Round Robbin scheme, where all teams face each other. The Undiksha Bravo team managed to sit in 1st place, with a final VP of 76.64, followed by Aremania with VP 56.76 and GOBES with VP 50.02,” he explained.
Meanwhile, for the pair category, the Undiksha Bravo Team played 2 sessions on Sunday, October 17, 2021. “Arya and I managed to come out in 2nd place with a score for session 1 of 51.14% and session 2 of 68.43%. Meanwhile, 1st place was won by athletes from Blitar City,” he said. Asked about this achievement, Raditya did not deny that teamwork, the role of the coach, and Undiksha greatly supported this success. “The coach’s role here is very big as a mentor and support when the team’s performance declines, especially during the elimination, so our performance returns to good in the final. Our victory also cannot be separated from Undiksha’s great role, starting from the preparation of training facilities, funds, and also the full support of the Vice Chancellor for Student Affairs,” he said.
For this achievement, the Vice-Rector of Student Affairs, Alumni and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd. give tremendous appreciation.
