Singaraja- New Generation Indonesia (GenBI) Bali Province Commissariat of Ganesha Education University (Undiksha), a student organization receiving Bank Indonesia Scholarships held health education and blood donation activities, on Sunday (19/5/2019). The activity which took place at Singaraja City Park Wantilan, Health Response Generation (GENTAN) targeted Car Free Day (CFD) visitors.
The implementation of this activity is in collaboration with the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Buleleng Regency. Starting from 07.00 to 11.00 WITA, 35 blood bags were collected from 24 community members and 11 members of GenBI Bali. This moment was also used by 20 people to check blood sugar levels.
This activity was also attended by the Bali Province GenBI Advisor, Bali Province GenBI Advisor, Undiksha Commissariat, as well as representatives of student organizations within Undiksha. This activity is also combined with another work program, namely Entrepreneurship by selling products in the form of Fruit Salad. Chairman of the GenBI Bali Undiksha Commissariat, Kadek Martini, hopes that health education can increase public understanding and make them more aware of adopting a healthy lifestyle. Specifically for the organization, it is hoped that it can carry out more social activities with high benefits for society. Apart from that, in future implementation, it can also synergize with all Undiksha internal student organizations. “We hope that more and more people will be involved in this activity,” she said.
