Implementation of SNBP at Universitas pendidikan Ganesha

The National Achievement-Based Selection (SNBP) aims to provide opportunities for high school / vocational / MA students in Indonesia and abroad (Sekolah Republik Indonesia (SRI)) who have superior achievements to pursue higher education at Perguruan Tinggi Nasional (PTN), PTN Vokasi, including Universitas Terbuka dan Perguruan Tinggi Keagamaan Islam Negeri (PTKIN). SNBP also aims to ensure that state universities have the opportunity to get new prospective students who have high academic achievement.
Data for the SNBP selection is managed and processed by the National Selection Team for New Student Admissions 2023. SNBP participants are free of charge.

SNBP Policy 

The SNBP focuses on success, which is highly beneficial for holistic learning in secondary education.

In the SNBP, the selection will focus on highly rewarding success in holistic learning in secondary education. This is done by giving a minimum weight of 50 percent to all subjects’ average report card scores. With this high weighting, it is expected that students will be encouraged to excel in all subjects holistically. As for the remaining weighting, a maximum of 50 percent is taken from the interest and talent exploration component. This aims to encourage students to explore their interests and talents more deeply. The SNBP replaces the National Selection of Entrance State University or Seleksi Nasional Masuk Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (SNMPTN). In the SNBP, prospective students are emphasized to have holistic and cross-disciplinary competencies. To be successful in the future, various competencies are needed. For example, a lawyer must have basic knowledge of the law but must also have communication knowledge which is a differentiator.

SNBP General Provisions

• SNBP is carried out based on tracking academic achievement using report cards and student academic and non-academic portfolios. The report card used is semester one to semester five for High school/vocational high/MA with a three-year study period or semester one to semester seven for SMK with a four-year study period.
• The student’s academic and non-academic portfolios assessed are the three best achievements.
  Schools that include their students in the SNBP must have a National School Identification Number (NPSN) and complete the eligible student achievement data in the School and Student Database (PDSS) completely and correctly.
• Students who are eligible for selection have a National Student Identification Number, excellent achievements, and have a track record of academic achievement in PDSS.
• Students who will register for SNBP are expected to read the information on the pages of Perguruan Tinggi Negeri (PTN) Akademik, PTN Vokasi, including Universitas Terbuka or PTKIN about the provisions of new student admissions.
• Students who have passed the 2023 SNBP are not allowed to take the 2023 Computer-Based Written Test or Ujian Tulis Berbasis Komputer (UTBK), including students who have passed the SNMPTN in 2021 and 2022.

• Students who come from economically disadvantaged families can apply for tuition assistance through the Smart Indonesia Card or KIP Kuliah scheme.
• Prospective participants who apply for tuition assistance for the KIP Kuliah scheme must find out the KIP Kuliah Tuition registration procedure information first.
