Singaraja- Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha), as a relatively young university, continues to show its work at the national level and has successfully earned several proud achievements. In 2022, the achievements were not only in the form of student achievement but also related to institutional management, both in the field of academics and cooperation, planning and finance, as well as student affairs.
Achievements in 2022 include: in the webometrics ranking, Undiksha was ranked 35th in Indonesia and 1st for universities in Bali. Based on data on the achievement of IKU in 2021, Undiksha was ranked 8th out of 33 PTN Badan Layanan Umum. In addition, Undiksha received an award as the Best Cluster 3 of the Student Creativity Program management university from the Directorate of Learning and Student Affairs of the Ministry of Education and Culture. The next achievement was to successfully receive four awards in the 2022 Diktiristek Award organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research, and Technology (Diktiristek).
The awards received were the gold winner of the Diktiristek Cooperation award for the PTN-BLU category for the 6th Best IKU Growth, the bronze winner of the Learning and Student Affairs Award for the Independent Learning Campus or Kampus Merdeka Belajar category as the university that received the most students in Merdeka Student Exchange program, the Silver winner of the Diktiristek Cooperation Award for the best International PTN-BLU Cooperation, the silver winner of the institutional award for the best implementing Higher Education PKKM 2022 League 2 category.
Undiksha Rector, Prof. Dr. I Nyoman Jampel, M.Pd., said that this award was inseparable from the hard work of the entire academic community. This achievement is a representation of improvements made together in harmony towards the implementation of various programs that are expected to increase the competitiveness of the university.
Hopefully, this achievement in 2022 can be used as motivation and encouragement by the academic community to work better in the future to realize Undiksha’s goals. In 2023, according to a mutual agreement, Undiksha is desired to become an International Reputable University in Education and Leadership (IRUEL). “If we have agreed then let’s design our activity program and budget to achieve Undiksha as an Internationally Reputable University in Education and Leadership and we have designed this,” he said, Friday (30/12/2022).
In realizing these goals, strategic steps are needed. Programs designed and implemented by the university down to the study program level are encouraged to be international, both in the fields of education and teaching, research, and community service. “I have an idea and later we might be able to implement it. Undiksha will form a consortium of universities in the field of educational studies, namely with universities in Australia, in Korea, France, and even Japan. These five universities will form a consortium automatically we don’t need to say much and will be recognized internationally. That’s the idea to achieve what we set out to do,” he said.
Through international programs, it is expected to accelerate the realization of Undiksha’s vision “To Become a Leading University Based on the Philosophy of Tri Hita Karana in Asia by 2045”. (hms)
