Singaraja- The Faculty of Medicine (FK) of the Ganesha University of Education (Undiksha) is again holding a Training of Tutors (TOT), Friday (15/10/2021). This activity which is intended for clinical education doctors is one of the efforts to realize the implementation of quality education and teaching for students who will immediately go to the hospital.
The activity which took place in the Buleleng Hospital Meeting Room was attended by 50 participants. There were two speakers presented, namely Dr. dr. I Gusti Putu Suka Aryana, Sp.PD., K-Ger., FINASIM and dr. Made Darmayasa, Sp.OG(K). The resource person from Udayana University presented material on quality clinical learning processes and procedures for assessing students with Work Based Place Assessment.
Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations of Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., who opened the activity on behalf of the Chancellor, expressed his appreciation for the support and commitment of Buleleng Hospital to always support Undiksha Faculty of Medicine, especially in learning. He also admitted that he always follows the development of the hospital which is located on Jalan Ngurah Rai Singaraja. “The development of the Buleleng Hospital is indeed good,” he said.
Through TOT, continued Suastra, participants will gain experience in order to prepare FK students to take part in professional education. Admittedly, the task of a doctor is somewhat heavier than that of a lecturer. However, he hopes that these doctors can always provide support to the Undiksha Faculty of Medicine so that later they can produce qualified and competitive graduates. “Therefore, we at the Ganesha University of Education would like to thank you for your commitment and time to guide our younger siblings (students, ed) who went to the hospital in February,” he said. On that occasion, he also appreciated the presence of the speakers. It is hoped that the material presented can increase the insight and knowledge of the participants.
Meanwhile, the Director of Buleleng Hospital, dr. Putu Arya Nugraha, Sp.PD., admitted his commitment to support the education of prospective doctors from Undiksha. In addition, he said that the involvement of hospitals in carrying out medical education would provide a positive value. However, he emphasized that in this case, doctors who will later be involved in education must still be able to provide excellent service to the community. (hms)
