Singaraja- Towards the end of 2021, another commendable achievement was made by Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha (Undiksha). This time was achieved at the International event of Innovation & Invention Competition (I3C) Malaysia. The event started from September to October, and the winner was announced on November 27, 2921. The Undiksha team consisted of Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha from the Electrical Engineering Education Study Programme, Putu Pipit Pricellia Eka Putri from the Legal Studies Study Programme, Ni Made Sania Indri Wahyuni from the English Language Education Study Programme, Ni Luh Gede Shinta Yudharini from Mathematics Education Study Programme, and Ni Putu Ayu Yuli Sumadianti from the Accounting Study Programme won bronze medals in the engineering & physics category.
At the international event, the team led by Kadek Yuda Wiryanatha presented RECALL (Remote Electrical Control) works. This tool can control electrical equipment using the remote that has been provided. This 5th-semester student explained that the idea of making this innovation was based on his observations that he saw the habit of turning on electricity that was still manually. “With this tool, all electrical equipment can be activated or deactivated using the available remote. This also overcomes the use of excessive materials to save expenses,” he explained Thursday (2/12/2021).
Furthermore, all types of electrical equipment can use this tool. Of course, this achievement cannot be separated from the role of the supervisor, Dr. Nyoman Santiyadnya, S.Si., M.T., in preparation for approximately two months. “Preparation starts from the materials and what topics will be contested. Of course, with the direction of the supervisor and all leaders at Undiksha, we can achieve this achievement,” he said. This achievement was greeted with gratitude by the team and motivation to continue to excel and add experience and insight. “This competition can also motivate me personally to continue to be creative, and it increases my confidence,” he said.
Vice-Rector for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Public Relations Undiksha, Prof. Dr. I Wayan Suastra, M.Pd., expressed his appreciation for this achievement because it supports Undiksha’s ranking, especially in the field of student affairs at the national level. “We appreciate the students’ struggle for Undiksha. Hopefully, in the future, more students will achieve awards. This achievement is also important to increase student competitiveness,” he concluded. (lpsy)
