Singaraja- The Student Executive Board of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Ganesha Education University is holding the 2023 Social Studies Competition (SSC) with the theme “Achievement to Create a Superior Indonesia Through Young Generation with Talent, Character and Social Insight”. This event is a social studies competition at the SMP/MTs level throughout Bali, Nusa Tenggara, and East Java, which this year will compete for the Ganesha Education University Chancellor’s Rotating Cup.
This competition was attended by 364 participants who were then selected by 3 participants with the highest scores from each rayon in Bali and 5 participants from each region of West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, and East Java. Then from the preliminary round, the top 32 finalists were obtained were presented directly at the Ganesha University of Education to take part in the semifinal round, and the 6 finalists who got the highest scores from this round were entitled to take part in the final round which was carried out using a quiz system.
The judges for the 2023 SSC activity are Undiksha lecturers, namely I Putu Hendra Mas Martayana, S.Pd., M.A from the History Education Study Program, M. Rudi Irwansyah, S.Pd., M.Pd from the Economic Education Study Program, I Gusti Made Arya Suta Wirawan, S.Hum., M.Si from the Sociology Education Study Program and I Gede Putu Eka Suryana, S.Pd., M.Sc from the Geography Study Program.
The opening of the 2023 Social Studies Competition was held in the Ganesha III Room of the Undiksha Rectorate, on Saturday, October 14, 2023, and was opened by the Deputy Chancellor for Student Affairs, Public Relations and Undiksha Alumni, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Ketut Sudiana, M. Kes. This activity was also attended by Prof. Dr. I Nengah Suastika, S.Pd., M.Pd as Dean of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Prof. Dr. Dewa Gede Sudika Mangku, S.H., LL.M. as Deputy Dean I of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Dr. Ketut Sedana Arta, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Deputy Dean III of the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Chair of the Department of History, Sociology, and Libraries, Secretary of the Department of Law and Citizenship, Coordinator of Study Programs, Student Advisor for Faculties and Departments within the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Representative Chair of the Student Representative Council of the Faculty of Law and Sciences Social, Representative of the Head of the Student Association of Departments in the Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, the 2023 Social Studies Competition Jury and the Top 32 Finalists in the 2023 Social Studies Competition who were accompanied directly by the Supervisor Teachers from each school.
After the opening ceremony, all finalists took part in the preliminary round which was held at UPA ICT Undiksha using the CBT-E Ganesha system. Then the 6 finalists who got the highest scores took part in the final round using an intelligent system and finally obtained the results, namely:
1. 1st Place: Anak Agung Gde Bagus Wahyu Wicaksana from SMP Negeri 1 Sukawati
2. 2nd Place: I Komang Pendy Prayoga from SMP Negeri 2 Amlapura
3. 3rd place: I Made Wira Yosando Sudarta from SMP Negeri 2 Amlapura
4. 1st Runner Up: Ni Kadek Silvia Diah Anggreni from SMP Negeri 1 Banjarangkan
5. 2nd Runner Up: Ni Made Sri Candrayani from SMP Negeri 3 Sukawati
6. 3rd Runner Up: I Gusti Bagus Kompyang Ganendra Putra Wardika from SMP Negeri 4 Singaraja
After the announcement of the 2023 SSC winners, the activity continued with the presentation of the Ganesha Education University Chancellor’s Rotating Cup which was handed over directly by Dr. Ketut Sedana Arta, S.Pd., M.Pd. as Deputy Dean III FHIS Undiksha. Then the SSC 2023 activities ended with the delivery of a message from the SSC 2023 1st Place Winner. (rls)
